If you are interested in volunteering, please come by the shelter during shelter hours (Monday-Friday 12-6pm and Saturday 11am-5pm). Please plan to spend 20 minutes reading the Volunteer Handbook. *Individuals must be at least 16 years old in order to volunteer in the shelter.

Saturday Dog Handler:

Every Saturday from 11:00am - 4:00pm, we host Dog Adoption Day. Volunteers are responsible for "presenting" the dogs to potential adopters, as well as walking, watering, handling potty patrol, and giving lots of attention.

Other areas to volunteer in are Humane Education, Shelter Assistant, Newsletter Committee, PR/Marketing Committee, Animal Transport, Shelter Receptionist, and Adoption Follow-up.

Morning Cat Crew

We need volunteers every morning for the Morning Cat Crew. Hours needed are from 7:30am (or whenever you can get here) until about 11:00am. Tasks include general cleaning, cleaning condos, litter boxes, doing laundry, feeding, watering, and socializing with the cats.

Dog/Puppy Foster

Since we do not have enough space to keep dogs at the shelter, all our dogs and puppies stay in foster homes until they are adopted. Learn more about fostering..

Kitten Foster:

Our kittens stay in a foster home until they are old enough to be spayed and neutered, 12 weeks for girls and 10 weeks for boys. After they are spayed/neutered, they are brought into the shelter to stay until they are adopted. Learn more about fostering..
